This beautiful pepper has been grown for centuries in Bolivia (Central South America). The peppers start out a brilliant purple and turn white, to yellow, to orange, maturing to red, with all color stages present on the plant at once, making it somewhat resemble Christmas lights because of their shape and their bright and differing colors. They can be grown indoors and will produce fruits continuously, year-round. The peppers are small, about 1 inch, and cone-shaped, growing upright on the plant. When grown outside, they need warm temps. Once mature, protect from frost. Peppers can be eaten fresh, used in cooking, dried and ground into powder or flakes, and used to make pepper sauce. 10,000-30,000 SHU. 25 seeds per pack.
